What we use today
This site currently runs on strictly necessary storage only — the things the shop cannot work without. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
| What | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shopping bag | Local storage (strictly necessary) | Remembers what you put in your bag between pages and visits. Stored in your browser, never sent to us until checkout. | Until you clear it or your browser data is cleared |
| Session & security | Cookie (strictly necessary) | Keeps your checkout session together and protects against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| Payment provider | Cookie (strictly necessary, third party) | Set by our payment processor to process your payment and screen for fraud. | Set by the provider |
Strictly necessary vs optional
Strictly necessary storage does not require your consent, because without it the service you asked for cannot be delivered. Anything else — analytics, personalisation, advertising — does require consent in many jurisdictions, and must be off until you give it.
If you add analytics, remarketing or embedded media to this site, you must add a consent banner and update the table above before launch. Loading those before consent is exactly what regulators enforce against.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its privacy settings, and clear local storage for a site. Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop the bag and checkout from working.
